To memorise the vocabulary you can practice on www.quizlet.com or practice writing the vocab from your textbook looking at the vocabulary list at the end of Module 1 (start with lesson 5 first, then lesson 4...going backwards)!

On Monday October 17th, after the break, you will have a writing and speaking assessment on Module 1.
To prepare, your homework next class is to make flashcards of the items in your backpack (handout given in class). Write the Spanish word ON THE BACK and be sure to include un or una! Also make flashcards with the phrases in Spanish. Write the English on the back if you can figure it out. Match the dialogue to help you or look in your textbook.
Optional to further prepare for assessent: You can go to this website: www.memrise..com and sign up become a member. When you log in , the work you do will be recorded. You can practice all the vocabulary and phrases for Module 1 to prepare for the final assessment! You will need to sign up, then copy and paste this link below to find Mira 1 Module 1:

You will have a short quiz next class. See the HW handout I gave you and write how to say ¿What is the date? in Spanish and answer in Spanish. When is your birthday? in Spanish and answer in Spanish. Memorise how to say these so you can do well in the quiz!

For 5-10 minutes look over #1,#2,#3,#4, #5 in the PowerPoint handout and revise/memorise the phrases.
Here are some tips for memorizing words and phrases:
-Make flash cards
-Make a four column study sheet:
Write the first column in Spanish or English.
Write the translation in the second column.
Fold back the first column and write the translation of the second column in the third column.
Fold back the second column and do the same.
This is also good practice for spelling the word correctly.

1st-click on the "vocabulary chart" tab and look over it.
2nd-click on the "interactive games" tab and do 2 or more of them (flashcards/memory/hangman/crossword/wordsearch).
3rd-start the activitity and do at least 30 tries or more and try to get 80% or better. REMEMBER TO HIT RECORD AND SEND!

Also make flashcards with the phrases in Spanish. Write the English on the back if you can figure it out. Match the dialogue to help you or look in your textbook.

-Choose "¿Cómo es tu profesor"
-Look at the Vocabulary Chart to study
-To memorize do the activity for practice and do some of the Interactive Games
-Be sure to choose "Don't Time Me" and "Ignore Punctuation"
-Then do 30 tries of the activity and you must get at least 80% If you don't get 80% try again until you get it.
-Then Hit record and send
